MIRIAM O’CALLAGHAN

Miriam O’Callaghan is well known for her contribution to broadcasting. She received her Bachelor of Civil Law from UCD in 1979 and Diploma in European Law in 1981. She has been the presenter of RTÉ’s leading current affairs show, Prime Time, since 1996. She began presenting a summer chat show, Saturday Night With Miriam, in 2005 and currently hosts a regular weekend radio show, Sunday with Miriam. O’Callaghan won an IFTA for Best TV Personality in 2003 and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Letters degree by the University of Ulster in Derry in 2011. She lends her time and support to numerous charities.
