The UCD Alumni Awards proudly celebrate and honour the outstanding achievements of our global alumni who have made an exceptional contribution in their chosen field and reflect our mission to contribute to the flourishing of Dublin, Ireland, Europe and the world.
We invite UCD alumni, students and staff to nominate UCD alumni who have made a positive impact on the world and reflects one or more of the thematic areas of UCD’s Rising to the Future Strategy 2020-2024, creating a sustainable global society; transforming through digital technology; building a healthy world; empowering humanity. How have they met global challenges and made a positive impact on the world?
UCD Alumni Awards are presented every November in the following categories: Arts and Humanities; Business; Engineering and Architecture; Health and Agriculture Sciences; Law; Science; Social Sciences; Sport; and Research, Innovation and Impact.

Nominations Protocol
What are the criteria for nomination?
Nominators are asked to nominate outstanding UCD alumni who have made a substantial and outstanding contribution as a global leader in their field; who have explored life’s possibilities, met global challenges, are embracing change and whose successes have had a positive impact on the world.
They must actively demonstrate global impact and one or more of UCD’s values: integrity, excellence, collegiality, creativity, diversity or engagement.
UCD Alumni are defined as anyone who has attended the University in an undergraduate or graduate capacity.
