UCD ARCHITECTURE

In recognition of his outstanding creative contribution within the architectural design industry, David McNulty is this year’s recipient of the Architecture award. David McNulty studied architecture in UCD, graduating in 1985. He moved to Paris shortly afterwards and he worked for the French office of Marcel Breuer then subsequently the offices of Christian de Portzamparc, Marc Held, Chaix et Morel before joining Louis Vuitton in 1997. Shortly after joining he established the Architecture Department to address the expansion needs of the company in the retail environment worldwide. The work of the department has been the subject of exhibitions in Tokyo, Berlin and New York. He participated in the Adolf Loos exhibition in 1985 in Dublin and in the Figurative Architecture in Paris in 1987.

David’s spectacular designs have created the retail environment for one of the most exclusive brands in the world.
