Professor Robert Gerwarth, Head of School of History welcomed the RTÉ Director General Dee Forbes as guest speaker at a meeting of the School’s alumni in May 2019. The event gave over 70 alumni the opportunity to reconnect with the School and each other and to hear from a fellow graduate about her UCD experience and her subsequent career.
Ms Forbes remembered her time in UCD fondly, mentioning that she felt surrounded by greatness with amazing lecturers. She also emphasised the positive impact that her degree in History and Politics had on her life.
