Memories of UCD: The late Des Hally’s lectures were a mini-MBA and his are the only notes I still keep and read over from time to time. Best fun ever was our study group of two women and two men; we had very different skills and optimum diversity in age, gender and competencies. We worked very efficiently as a team.

I had a wonderful experience conducting a masters programme in International Marketing at Belfield Campus.

He has published a book, Quasimodo, with colleagues, and recently The Tolkien Society published one of his watercolours on the front cover of Amon Hen, its magazine. Memories of UCD: The picture shows myself and Susan Grant on the day of our PhD conferral. The picture was taken by Kelly Maxham, a friend and a colleague, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. Susan was a colleague in the School of History and Archives, where we were both tutors.
