lives in Jerusalem, Palestine and works at the OECD as a Junior Consultant. Memories of UCD: A bus ride back to UCD. The custom while riding the bus in Ireland is to stand up before your stop and wait at the door, an unspoken rule almost everyone will become immediately familiar with. On this day, a foreigner who missed his stop (as he was still sitting in his seat) started shouting at the bus driver. When I apologised for the man’s behaviour, the bus driver’s witty response made me realise life is good if you let go of negative comments and experiences, an art mastered by Irish people.

lives in Ireland. Memories of UCD: Being a member of the UCD Philharmonic Choir, performing in the National Concert Hall and being in the Film Society, auditioning and getting picked to play a small part in one of their productions. I loved the UCD Cinema and went weekly. Loved the campus, the cafés and the swans. Having to do our lectures online during our masters when COVID-19 hit and managing our assignments and research from home.
lives in Ireland and works as a staff nurse in the ITU at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital.
lives in India, where she owns her own business. Memories of UCD: Loved my time socialising with people from different countries and cultures. The Bel eld campus is so beautiful – I remember taking a full tour of the place just a day before leaving and falling in love with the hidden places I couldn’t see while studying. I’ll miss UCD forever!
lives in Singapore, and works at Lloyd’s Register as Inclusion & Belonging Lead (Asia). Memories of UCD: Having a dialogue between our lecturer and my classmates at the Clubhouse Bar on resolving inequalities in the world. As a very diverse cohort, we brought different perspectives to the table which provided a lot of food for thought.
lives in Ireland and works at IBAT College as an academic administrator. Memories of UCD: As an international student, every day meant exploring a new chapter and making a treasure house of beautiful memories. I was a member of the UCDSU and the UCD Indian Society, Amnesty International UCD, etc. As the master’s representative (Belfield Campus) of the Indian Society, I enjoyed Indian festivals with non-Indian friends and classmates. UCD felt like a home away from home.

lives in Sierra Leone and is Founder and Coordinator at Glowing Embers Network. Memories of UCD: In November 2020, I lost my elder sister back home but I will always be grateful for the support I got from my lecturers (especially Professor Paul Walsh), my classmates, the school’s counselling team and the chaplain. Love on Campus: I found love in the lifelong friendships I made at UCD.
