ROWAN F KENNY
BSc Mathematics 1998
lives in Ireland and is an Officer of Statistics at the Central Statistics Office. Memories of UCD: I was a first year student of Physics and Mathematics, pacing up and down while studying in the kitchen of a friend’s flat in UCD’s Merville, when quite amazingly and literally a lightbulb fell on my head. Nine years later, on a working holiday in Spain, I was Googling my birthday and found that I was born on “Old Christmas Day” (4 January) which was Sir Isaac Newton’s birthday. Quite a coincidence! At UCD, I fell in love with the idea of learning more languages to communicate with more people!
