Memories of UCD: I have great memories from my time at Richview School of Architecture where I forged fantastic friendships continued to this day. Brilliant teachers, long hours, lack of sleep, tough critiques. Great facilities and societies including Dramsoc. I also had a lovely time teaching studio for one year in Architecture.

(BSc 1996, BArch 1999, Cert 2004) lives in the UK and works as a development director. This year he was project director for Manhattan Loft Corporation, overseeing the delivery of the new 42-storey Manhattan Loft Gardens development in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London.The double-cantilevered tower was designed by SOM, the architects of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai and One World Trade Centre in Manhattan.

Memories of UCD: A great faculty of Architecture, UCD Sailing and Hockey Clubs and attending many memorable Intervarsity events.

Memories of UCD: Spending too much time in Hilpers and not enough in the Library. All the amazing friends I made who are still in my life today.

(MVB 2003) lives in Botswana and works as a research scholar in disease ecology at the Okavango Research Institute at the University of Botswana. Memories of UCD: The Student Bar at Belfield. The late evening call, “are you coming for a pint?”, from a colleague downstairs was to me a true reflection of camaraderie among students.

(BComm 2001) lives in the US and is a portfolio manager for the 1919 Investment Counsel.

Memories of UCD: I grew up beside Belfield so it was also my local park. I loved the remote-control racing cars and boats that enthusiasts would bring on Sundays. My three years there as a student seemed inevitable. UCD was, and remains, an outstanding institution of the highest calibre. The Quinn School has clearly elevated the undergraduate Business programme to a new level for the 21st century.

Memories of UCD: Arriving at a macroeconomics summer exam feeling well-prepared, only to realise the exam was on microeconomics!

lives in Ireland and works as Integration Lead & Founder of Waterford Integration Services. In 2018 she spoke at the United Nations Youth for Human Rights Seminar in New York. Memories of UCD: Meeting other like-minded students from around the globe and a trip to Tanzania in 2006 which informed my work with refugees and asylum seekers in Ireland.

(BA Art History and English 2009) lives in Ireland and works as a client financial management analyst for Accenture. Memories of UCD: Working for The College Tribune. During this time, I interviewed the singer Amanda Palmer, the drummer with The Kaiser Chiefs, the bassist of White Lies and Bressie. Hanging out in the Student Bar, listening to Hot Chip and playing pool. I also remember Calvin Harris playing the Student Bar (if only I had got a ticket back then).

(BA 1980, HDipEd 1981, MA 2009) lives in Ireland and works at Clongowes Wood College as the archivist and college historian.

Memories of UCD: Fond memories of UCD Mountaineering Club where I served as Captain (1981-1982) and which helped to shape much of the rest of my life and activities since. On my return to UCD in 2008 to take an MA in History I was elected auditor of the History Society, thereby becoming the only person to have occupied these two contrasting roles.
