lives in Belgium and is retired. Memories of UCD: I distinctly remember the move to Belfield in 1964, before it was established as Belfield campus in 1970, and Professor TE Nevin. He had a reputation as a formidable academic, and I am sure that he played a substantial role in the move to Belfield.

Memories of UCD: Most of my lectures were at Earlsfort Terrace, with a few chemistry classes in Merrion Square, and maths classes in the bar at the Harcourt Street railway station. Love at UCD: I found love at UCD in my first year. It didn’t work out, but we’re both happily married to other people after 50 years and still keep in contact.
