Rowing

UCD graduate Aileen Crowley continued her phenomenal form winning a bronze medal in 2020 at the European Rowing Championships in Poznan, competing in the Women’s Four. Crowley also won silver in the W2 of the Rowing World Cup in 2021 in Lucerne alongside Monika Dukarska. Crowley qualified for the Women’s Pair for Tokyo 2020 with Monika Dukarska at the 2019 World Rowing Championships in Linz. At the Lucerne Regatta the Women’s Four team booked their Tokyo tickets. UCD’s Eimear Lambe and teammates Emily Hegarty (UCC), Aifric Keogh (UCC) and Fiona Murtagh (NUIG BC) won their final to secure qualification.

UCD Alumnus Paul O’Donovan, paired with Fintan McCarthy, together won gold at the 2019 Senior World Rowing Championships qualifying their boat for the Olympics. The pair recently won gold in the final of the lightweight men’s double at the European Rowing Championships in Varese, Italy.
