UCD’s Camogie Club claimed the UPMC Purcell Cup, with a 1-6 to 0-5 victory against TUD. St Martin’s and Wexford’s Chloe Foxe, who was Player of the Match, had two points on the board when Slieverue’s Hannah Irish drilled to the net. The second team were also in Cup final action during the O’Connor Cup weekend hosted by the University of Limerick but lost out 0-13 points to 0-08 to Trinity, in the UPMC Fr Meachair Cup.

The Junior A Footballers had a fantastic win over TUD in the Higher Education Leinster Final. The UCD team came out on top, winning 4-16 to 2-09. In the Fresher B Football Championships, UCD beat DCU to face NUI Galway in the All-Ireland Final in Mullingar. In the final they won 3-15 to 1-10.

The Junior Hurlers were also in All- Ireland action as they faced St Patrick’s Thurles in the All-Ireland League final. They produced a fantastic performance and came out winners with a score of 1-10 to 0-09.

UCD was well represented as the Dublin Senior football team claimed their fifth All- Ireland title in a row. As well as having 13 players on the Dublin squad and a further player, Jack Barry, on the Kerry team, UCD alumni Paul Mannion, Brian Fenton, Con O’Callaghan, Michael Fitzsimons and Jack McCaffrey were named PWC All Stars.
