For more than 100 years, UCD College of Business has educated leaders who have shaped business around the world. In April, over 500 guests gathered at the annual UCD Business Alumni Awards Dinner at the InterContinental in Dublin to recognise this year’s Alumni Awardees.
Business Alumnus of The Year Clare Gilmartin attained her BComm Int degree from UCD, and went on to work at Unilever and Boston Consulting Group before spending ten years at eBay. She was appointed CEO of Trainline, a digital rail and coach ticket-selling platform in June 2014 and has since led a period of rapid expansion across Europe and Asia. Also honoured with an award was Tara McCarthy, CEO of Bord Bia, who has over 20 years’ experience in the food industry and was previously CEO of Bord Iascaigh Mhara. Tara holds a BComm degree with an MBS in Marketing from Smurfit Business School, and is an affiliate of IMD Business School, Switzerland.
We were also delighted to honour Dr Laurence G Crowley CBE, acknowledging his Outstanding Contribution to Business Education.
