In October 2018, the EGA held their Autumn Panel Discussion on “Engineering Better Health – The Coming Together of Engineering and Health Care”. The panel comprised: Michael Ryan, Software Support Engineer at Dairymaster; Professor Ronan Cahill, Professor of Surgery, Mater Misericordiae University Hospital and specialist in colorectal surgery, using robotic techniques; Fran Hegarty, Chief Healthcare Technology Officer at the new Children’s Hospital Dublin; and Professor Madeleine Lowery, Professor in UCD School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
