Fianna Fáil politician Stephen Donnelly TD was appointed Minister for Health by Taoiseach Micheál Martin in the coalition government of the 33rd Dáil on 27 June 2020. Donnelly is a member of the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Finance, Public Expenditure and Reform, and is part of the Irish delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the EU Organisation for Security and Co-operation. After his UCD degree in Engineering, he went on to study at MIT.
Green Party leader and current Minister for Climate Action, Communications Networks and Transport, Eamon Ryan was TD for Dublin South from 2002 to 2011 and has been TD for Dublin Bay South since 2016. After he graduated from UCD with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, Ryan became manager of the UCD Marketing Development Programme from 1985 to 1986, before founding Cycling Safaris, a travel company. He first became involved in politics in 1998, replacing former party leader John Gormley on Dublin City Council. In 2020, under his leadership, the Green Party had its best result in its history in the general election, with the party increasing its representation to twelve TDs and Ryan retaining his position as leader.
