Two awards were presented by UCD President, Professor Andrew J Deeks, to students representing sports clubs: UCD Women’s Rugby Alix Cunneen and UCD Boat Club’s Max Murphy.
Alix has been President of UCD Women’s Rugby Club for three seasons. An advocate for equality, she works immensely hard to ensure the same opportunities are presented to her female peers as her male counterparts. Max Murphy, captain of UCD Boat Club, fosters an atmosphere of respect, inclusivity and high achievement, driving the Club’s culture and accomplishments to new heights.
