UCD Ladies’ Hockey were crowned EuroHockey Club Trophy II champions in May after beating Turkish side Gaziantep 4-1 in the final of the tournament.
UCD took an early lead against Gaziantep with Leah O’Shea scoring a penalty corner in the 13th minute. Captain Emma Paul extended the lead in the 25th minute, making it 2-0 at halftime. UCD added two more goals from Florence Maughan and Lauren Moore, making it 4-0 by the 39th minute. Gaziantep scored a consolation goal in the 44th minute, ending the match 4-1 in UCD’s favour.
