UCD Marian won the InsureMyHouse. ie U20 Men’s National Cup, in January, overcoming UCC Blue Demons at the National Basketball Arena. UCD had to survive a late fightback from UCC and the game finished in dramatic fashion with only a point between the two sides (63-62). UCD led 59-50 with just one minute to go but the Cork side rallied and made it a one-point game and UCD held on to claim the victory. It was the first time in 13 years UCD Marian claimed the National Cup title.
