The 2019 John M Kelly lecture, entitled “Populism and the Rule of Law” was delivered by Professor Nicola Lacey, in front of an audience of alumni, students and staff, in January at the UCD Sutherland School of Law. Professor Lacey is School Professor of Law, Gender and Social Policy at the London School of Economics and has held several visiting appointments, most recently at Harvard Law School and at New York University Law School. In 2017, she was awarded a CBE for services to Law, Justice and Gender Politics.
