UCD claimed the Harding Cup and Colleges League this year. The team were unfortunate not to claim the treble as they lost out to DCU in the Irish Universities Collingwood Cup. DCU knocked out UCD 4-3 in a penalty shoot-out after the sides finished 2-2.
In the Harding Cup, UCD beat Maynooth University 3-0 in the final after beating NUI Galway and DCU in the preceding rounds. Ad Astra Scholar, Liam Kerrigan was awarded Player of the Tournament.
UCD claimed the Rustlers Colleges and Universities League Men’s Premier Division title for an amazing eighth time in the 14- year history of the competition. They played Athlone IT in the final with both of UCD’s goals coming from scholarship student Yoyo Mahdy. Captain Jack Keaney raised the cup for the students. Liam Kerrigan was deservedly named Man of the Match.
