General queries

How do I become a member of UCD Alumni?

If you’ve graduated from UCD, you are automatically a part of our UCD Alumni community! Make sure you update your details with us so we can stay in touch.

How can I let the UCD Alumni office know about a change of address or email?

If your contact details have recently changed, you can let us know by filling out this Update Your Details form.

When can I come into the office?

Our offices are currently closed under the latest COVID-19 restrictions. 

Where can I park on UCD campus?

Limited hourly paid parking is available in designated car parks and charges apply 8:00hrs-17:00hrs, Monday – Friday (excluding bank holidays) 52 weeks a year. Click here for more information and a map of Visitor Car Parks. 

There are a limited number of electric charging stations available where you can charge your car for free for 3 hours using the Parkunload app. Click here for more information.

How can I donate money to UCD?

Your official documents

How can I view my transcripts or other official documents online?

If you began your programme in UCD from 2000 onwards, you can access your official documents online via SISWeb immediately free of charge. Click here for more information. 

If you began your programme before 2000, please contact the UCD Student Desk via the Desk Connector with your request.

How can I get hard copies of my transcripts?

All current students and alumni of UCD can order hard copies of their documents online through SISWeb. Click here for more information.

How can I verify my diploma, transcripts, or other official documents?

UCD does not do manual verifications for students who began their programme after 2000. You can complete the verification online by clicking here

If you began your programme before 2000, please contact the UCD Student Desk via the Desk Connector with your request. 

How can I get a copy of my degree certificate?

The National University of Ireland is responsible for issuing degree certificates. Click here for their contact details. 

How can I find my coursework that I completed as a student?

In the first instance, you should contact your course coordinator regarding any portfolio or coursework completed. You can also contact the UCD Student Desk with your query. 

Where can I get an academic reference?

Academic references typically come directly from faculty you would have had contact with during your studies. You should contact them directly for an academic reference.

Can I still use the UCD Library as a graduate?

Alumni Library Cards are available from 1 October 2021

The UCD Library has made a number of Open Access Publishing Agreements to offer Open Access of a number of resources. You can search for these using the advanced search feature in OneSearch and clicking ‘Open Access’ at the bottom.

What benefits am I entitled to as a UCD alumnus?

Can I avail of Careers help after graduation?

UCD Alumni have access to the UCD Careers network. You can sign up or log in to the Careers Network here

When does the alumni magazine come out?

How can I stay involved if I live in a different country?

Who can I talk to to help me organise a class reunion?

Our team is happy to help you organise a class reunion. Please email reunions@ucd.ie with your requirements. 

Are there volunteering and mentoring opportunities?

I’ve lost touch with a friend I met at UCD, can you help me get into contact with them?

We are happy to try to put you in touch with a long-lost friend or classmate. If we have your friend’s contact details, we can contact them and let them know you’d like to reconnect. We cannot pass along their details to you directly under GDPR. Please email alumni@ucd.ie with as many details of the person you’re trying to find. 

Where can I tell other UCD alumni about an opportunity, job posting, my business, or other relevant news?

The best place for these is on the UCD Alumni Network. We encourage you to post on the feed and utilize all of the resources the platform has to offer.
