The UCard is multifunctional, it can be used anywhere you see the UCard symbol next to a pay or service point, such as electronic payments for printing and photocopying services. You can topup your UCARD online using a debit/credit card or use one of the topup machines in UCD.

To be eligible to apply for Library Access, you must have completed at least one year at UCD at either undergraduate or graduate level.

* In keeping with other University services, Library access will be issued via a Campus UCARD. The UCARD can be renewed each year by updating the card rather than issuing a new one. The UCARD carries a photograph for identification purposes.

Important Note 1: Your UCARD will be activated for Library access within 1 hour of joining, once approval is granted from the Library.
Important Note 2: You will need to clear any outstanding library loans you have with the Library prior to joining – contact the Library directly on this matter at client.services@ucd.ie. Or if you have any outstanding College fees, please contact the UCD Student Desk.
