Teach na Gaeilge UCD Alumni celebrate 15th Anniversary – March 2015
Oíche go maidin a bhí ag mic léinn agus iar-mhic léinn Scéim Chónaithe Bhord na Gaeilge, 28 Márta agus ag iad ag ceiliúradh 15 bhliain de Theach na Gaeilge. Ba é an ceoltóir Tadhg Walsh Peelo, iar- mhac léinn de chuid an tí a chur an tsiamsaíocht ar fáil lena bhanna ‘Mo Hat mo Gheansaí’ agus bhí cúpla port ó mhic léinn reatha freisin. Ba iad Iseult Ní Rinn agus Peadar Ó Lamhna a bhuaigh an tráth na gceist a bhí bunaithe ar imeachtaí agus éachtaí na mac léinn 2000-2015. B’iontach an oiread sin alumni a fheiceáil, cuid acu a thaisteal achar fada le bheith i láthair. Dar ndóigh tá dlúthbhaint ag alumni an tí leis an scéim seo i gcónaí; is iomaí duine acu a roinneann a shaineolas ag cúrsaí oiliúna na mac léinn agus ag ócáidí eilei rith na bliana. Bíonn cuid eile ag tacú leis an Teach trí na h-eagraíochtaí Gaeilge, trí na meáin agus na scoileanna ar fud na tíre. Thug an ócáid deis dúinn tógáil ar shean-chairdeas agus buaileadh le cairde nua ó réimse leathan gairmeacha. Ba léir gurb í an Ghaeilge ba chúis le cumarsáid nadúrtha agus atmasféár spraíúil na h-oíche agus chualathas gur lean an chóisir ar aghaidh i 6 Sráid Fhearchair ina dhiaidh!
