Celebrating the diversity & success of the University’s high achieving alumni…<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]On Friday 14 November 2014, 450 of UCD’s most distinguished alumni, supporters and staff attended a gala evening to launch the UCD Alumni Awards in O\u2019Reilly Hall. The black-tie ceremony and banquet celebrated the founding of the University and the achievements of 13 of our most distinguished alumni. Mr Pat Kenny, BE 1969, hosted the inaugural awards.<\/p>\n

Awards were presented in the following categories; Agriculture and Food Science, Architecture, Arts, Business, Engineering, Social Science, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery and Health Systems, Physiotherapy, Public Health, Science and Veterinary Medicine.<\/p>\n

In addition to the awards, and in keeping with tradition, the President of UCD, Professor Andrew Deeks awarded the Foundation Day Medal to a graduate who achieved international acclaim.
