When you graduated from UCD, you became part of our global alumni community. You have a lifelong link to our University and can avail of all the advantages and opportunities that this brings, including regular events and reunions on campus.
In addition, for an annual fee of just €30.00 you can enjoy a range of benefits including access to all of UCD’s Libraries while on campus.
Library Access runs from 1st October to 30th September each year. For applications made after 31st May, access will not expire until 30th September the following year.
Graduates of Architecture, Engineering and Medicine are automatically members of the Architecture Graduates’ Asociation (AGA), Engineering Graduates’ Association (EGA) or the Medical Graduates’ Association (MGA) upon payment.
To be eligible to apply for Library Access, you must have completed at least one year at UCD at either undergraduate or graduate level. UCD staff, current and retired are also entitled to apply.
* In keeping with other University services, Library access will be issued via a Campus UCARD. The UCARD can be renewed each year by updating the card rather than issuing a new one. The UCARD carries a photograph for identification purposes.
Important Note 1: Your UCARD will be activated for Library access within 1 hour of joining, once approval is granted from the Library.
Important Note 2: You will need to clear any outstanding loans/fees you have with the Library prior to joining – contact the Library directly on this matter at firstname.lastname@example.org.
